There is a time and a place for everything. Sometimes you want steak and sometimes you want a croquette from a vending machine. That's actually true for sex toys, too. And that is the reason why everyone (man or woman) should have a mini vibrator. Or at least I think so. And the Pocket Rocket is truly a classic among the minis.
A mini vibrator is a handy thing to own, because you can always have it with you. The EasyToys Pocket Rocket is not much bigger than a tube of lipstick. This makes it handy for on the road, at the office (don't say you never felt the need to relieve stress), or just in the bedroom. They're perfect for a quick two minutes to yourself before bed, or to start the day with a smile. And it's also great for foreplay. The Pocket Rocket is intended for external use. For example, you can use it to stimulate your clitoris (if you have one) or the frenulum (that triangle under the glans, for those who have a penis).
Unboxing
Unlike the picture on the website, the EasyToys Pocket Rocket is not delivered in a blister pack, but in a box - neatly wrapped in cellophane. According to the box, the Pocket Rocket is small and (therefore) easy to carry (check), easy to use and has strong vibrations. Well, we'll see about that! [insert demonic laugh]
The Pocket Rocket from EasyToys comes with four different tips. This distinguishes it from the Doc Johnson original, which has only 1 cap. And that one is almost four times as expensive. Pluses for the Pocket Rocket from EasyToys.
Only one AA battery (penlight) goes in this type of mini vibrator. It is not included, but what household doesn't have a few AAs in a kitchen drawer somewhere? The Pocket Rocket actually consists of two hollow tubes that you twist together with a bayonet lock. If you then tighten the halves a little further, it will come on and if you loosen it a little further, it will turn back off. Simple yet effective.
The Pocket Rocket has only two settings: on and off. That sounds barbaric, but let me repeat, "croquette". Sometimes you just don't need anything else.
The Pocket Rocket is made of ABS (hard plastic) and for a mini vibrator that is good, because it makes the vibrations resonate well. Do not take the Pocket Rocket with you in the shower or bath, as it is water resistant, but not waterproof.
The test drive
I've had these types of mini vibrators before, so I had a fair idea of what to expect. That's what I thought. I (man) tested it alone and together with my partner (woman).
First of all, you need to insert the battery. That is not very "poka yoke" (monkey proof) - as the Japanese say, but with some fiddling it turned out to be a breeze.
The vibrations of the Pocket Rocket from EasyToys are not disappointing at all. Don't expect a deep growling buzz, but a clearly palpable vibration. To stimulate the most sensitive spots mentioned above, it is really enough to reach an orgasm. And with the four different "caps" you can adjust the stimulation method a little bit yourself. The smooth cap is nice to slide on (tip: add a little bit of lubricant). The other caps have small studs. The more studs, the more "stinging" stimulation you get. That is - if you like that - nice to make some more pressing movements. The differences are not shocking, but it can be just that little bit that gets you over the threshold.
Conclusion
Everyone just has to have a mini vibrator. Period. The Pocket Rocket is a nice device if you've never had a vibrator before. It's great for experimentation and will definitely help you to reach an orgasm. And you won't go wrong with the Pocket Rocket from EasyToys. For less than €10 you can get a great mini vibrator.
The pros of the EasyToys Pocket Rocket:
Excellent vibrations (not too strong, not too weak).
Small, easy to take with you
Easy to operate.
With extra buttons for variety.
Suitable as a first vibrator, but also for advanced users.
Inexpensive and therefore very good value for money.
The negatives (if I'm going to nitpick):
Those caps, they will of course end up rolling around in your bedside table, because you really aren't going to put those caps back in the box every time. Consider buying a storage box.
Not waterproof, so can't be used in the shower or in the bath.
Only for external use and not for penetration (anal is absolutely out of the question! Really, don't!).
Changing batteries is a bit tricky. Oh yes, and battery, so not rechargeable (but that also has its advantages, because no charging time).
The EasyToys Pocket Rocket is available in purple (we tested it), pink and it was also usually available in blue (but it was not available at the time of writing).
There are just some things you MUST have. A Pocket Rocket is one of those. OK, it's not a steak, not the super-deluxe Mercedes of sex toys, doesn't have a hundred thousand vibration patterns, you can't operate it with your smartphone and it's not super amazing material. But it is just small, nice, easy and effective.
